Why doesnt the flash on my sony cybershot 10.1 megapixel work well

When I am taking pictures in the dark or at nite, the flash on my Sony Cybershot, 10.1 megapixel (DSC-S930) does not work!! The pictures are black dark. I cut on the flash always control and nothing happens. Please help!! Otherwise I need to get a better Sony camera with a better and bigger flash. My old school sony cybershot took great photos, its just a bigger body camera.
One of two things might be happening.
1. The flash control settings might have for some reason been turned down in the menu for the flash telling the camera to use half or less intensity when the flash is triggered.
..or...
2. This gasses in the flash unit are going bad and not giving a reliable intensity. If this is the case the flash would need service and it would probably be more cost effective to purchase a new camera.

Check with Sony on warranty and if there was a recall on defective flashes.

can I use an older lens with a new digital camera?

I have an old Olympus om 10 and would like to use the lenses that I already have with a new Olympus digital camera. Can I do this?
The Olympus OM10 uses the OM-System and probably shipped with standard Zuiko f 1.8 / 50mm Lens. There is a adapter for using legacy film lenses on Digital-SLR bodies. Search Google for Olympus OM Lens to Olympus 4/3 System Camera Body Adapter.

what kind of cable

I bought my daughter a blueray player, but the HD tv I'm hooking it to is old and does not have an HDMI port. Can I get an adapter to hook it up with an HDMI cable
If the HDTV is one of the older ones that has a DVI connection you can get a HDMI to DVI cable. Another option is to use the RGB component output from the Blu-Ray to connect to the RGB Component inputs of the TV.

The battery for the TRV37 is a NP-F330. There are many aftermarket version and replacements available. Google NP-F330 battery replacement to find sources.

Extension lens

I have ACannon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 zoom lens but want to extend it what can i use . I want to take long range pictures
You can add a EOS Extender at 1.4x or 2.0x. The 2.0x would basically make your 75-300mm a 150-600mm.
It would be best to search your camera and lens for compatibility.

What Does 'EOS' stand for?

EOS stands for Electro Optical System. This system was developed around 1987 by Canon along with the introduction of their EF lens mounting system.

what cable is used for connecting my laptop to my hdtv display

You could use a VGA cable if your HDTV has a VGA input. This will allow you to connect the TV to the laptop as a second monitor and extend the work area into the TV.

Is LCD better than LED for watching old style dvd movies

Is there a screen burning problem associated with viewing old format movies on HDTV screens and does LCD do this better than LED?
Generally screen burn occurs when a scene stays up for a extremely long time, like a news bar at the bottom of the screen or a menu selection left up for hours.
