Is there a Full Spectrum Lense?

I'd like to buy a lense that has "full spectrum" capabilities. I own a nikon d60,and I have a long range and short range lense already. I'm doing paranormal investigations, and I heard to try to find a lense or camera that will get the full spectrum.
Spectrum refers to light ...range refers to zoom capability.
A full spectrum image would come to very near infra red ...also called "VNIR" imaging. Some digital cameras can do this if the sensor is sensitive to the IR range.
The lens itself is just an amplifier..the isn't so much a full spectrum lens as it's more of a filtering out of other spectrums.

Do a Wiki search for full spectrum photograph, also one on VNIR, that might clear up a few questions and help you find what you are looking for.

what is the largest size memory card that i should use

with canon 12.1 mp camera?
thanks,
There has always been a question of "Use higher capacity cards or many smaller cards?"

A 12.1 Canon..could use up to a 32gb (if it supports that size). Transfer time to a computer can be pretty long with a card that size.
Some say to use many smaller cards, 2gb and 4gb, for faster transfers. Also if the card gets corrupted or damaged than you only lost 2 to 4gb of photos not 32gb of photos.

My Sony can use up to 64gb and higher but I only put 4gb at a time in it...just to play it safe.

What is the differance between a memory stick and a memory card?

Memory Stick is generally used to refer to Sony memory media...Memory Card usually refers to SD(Secure Disk), CF (Compact Flash) and SDHC (Secure Disk High Capacity)..and others.
There is a physical difference between Sony Memory Stick and other card type....other than that they are all just memory media.

There are two kits, one does have the VR lens.
The D5000 comes with a 18-55mm standard lens.
The D5000DX bundled Kit comes with a 18-55mm VR lens and a Cary Bag.

Is an LED used on all memory sticks?

Do all memory sticks incorporate a flashing led to indicate Power On and Recording/Transfering Data?
I don't see it mentioned in the specs of most.
Generally a LED light is found on all memory media although it is not always listed as a feature.
Off brands might not include a LED to keep cost down but these also are generally unreliable.

What camera fits my criteria?

I'm looking for a camera that has 10+ mp and has a zoom equal to or greater than 4x. I want it to have a burst mode so I can capture multiple shots in a few seconds and a macro setting so that I can take detailed up-close photos. Some features I'd LOVE it to have are a panoramic option and a smile shutter, but these arn't necessary. Most importantly, I want it to be compact so that it is easy to carry in a pocket while backpacking.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H20 would probably fit most everything you are looking for. The 10x optical zoom will be much more helpful than a 4x for nature shots. The Carl Zeiss lens will deliver sharp images.

which lens

I am a amateur and just bought a nikon D3000. I want to take mostly close up nature shots. which lens should i buy? I dont want to go anywhere past $350
A good start would be the 55-200mm Image Stabilized lens. That will help you get close shots of your subject from a distance.

Optical zoom vs digital zoom

Which of theses is more important when buying a new camera?
Optical is VERY important when looking at a camera. The higher the optical the clearer and less jagged the image will be during tight zoom.

which lens to use.

I have a canon rebel degital camera, and I want to know which lens to use to take family potraits, and good pictures in a wedding.
The 18-85mm is a very good lens for wide angle to portrait shooting and creative shots. You might also want a 75-300mm lens for more zoom for distance shoots when you cant get close to your subject.

Canon - EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens - Black

nikon d 5000...can I use to shoot video for long periods of time?

Had this camera for a year and still can NOT figure out how to get in video mode. Now I need to shoot sports video of say 2 hours and I have no idea if I should continue to try to figure out the d5000 video mode or go buy a 'real' video camera? HELP!
To record video, the camera must be in Live View mode, then the small OK button on the right side of the camera begins video recording. The camera cannot auto focus while video is being recorded so you must manual focus during video recording.
You must also use SDHC memory to record video and the video recorded is at 24fps.
This type of camera probably would not be the best choice for recording a 2 hour sports event. Continuous shoot like that would be best on a actual video camera.
