Best Camera for interior shots w/o a flash

I want to shoot interior rooms and use a camera that will pick up the most light on the image, without a flash. I need to use a 12-24mm wide angle lens. What digital slr camera would be best suited for this?
Any Digital-SLR camera will be fine. The Digital-SLR is just a capture device, the lens is what is needed to be low light capable. A f/1.2 to f/2.8 lens will be fast enough for low light conditions. You can always increase the ISO of the camera for slower lenses but that will also add noise to the image (graininess).

Do they make a Mini DV Cassette Player

Looking for a player to play the Mini DV Cassette so I can put them on my hard drive and edit the movie. This way you don't have to have the camera to load into your computer.
There are standalone miniDV decks that can be left attached to your computer at all times. Some are just decks and some have a LCD screen for viewing.
The stand alone decks can be pretty pricey for just a play/recorder unit. The large screen being what drives the price up.
What you may want to consider is a lower end camcorder you can leave attached to the computer just as an input/output unit. This way you'll still have your main camcorder to shoot with and you'll have a small monitor to view what to capture to the computer.

D5000 indoor close range lens?

I have the D5000 bundle package 18-55, 55-200 and purchased the 70-300 lens. Indoor or close range lens is what I need now, I think? So many lens out there i am not sure which one may be the better choice. Please help
If I am understanding what you are looking to do you might need a wide angle lens.
Try a 10-20mm (or similar) lens. This might be what your after.

What is the best point-and-shoot version of a DSLR?

All Digital-SLR cameras have what could be called a Point-n-Shoot mode. In full auto mode the camera will make all settings for you...ISO, Focus, Shutter, Aperture and use of Flash will be done automatically.

Canon Rebel XS trouble

Why would my Canon rebel XS be hesitating to focus? It is louder then usual, as if the battery is low, and the lens is not focusing quickly. The battery pack is fully charged. Could it be dirty? Is getting it looked at under the warranty I bought when I purchased the camera from Bestbuy?
Cameras can be set to use different focus modes such as Spot Focus and Multi Area Focus. Some of these modes focus a little faster than others. First try changing the focus area mode. How to do this is listed in your owners manual.
If this does not take care of the issue try taking it to your nearest BestBuy and trying a different lens at the demo area. If there is no problem with a different lens than your lens needs serviced.
Take it to the Geek Squard and they can advice you what can be done.

What is the difference between a "telephoto" lens and a "zoom" lens?

Generally a Telephoto Lens is a fixed long focal length lens such as a 200mm or 300mm and larger.
A Zoom lens is a variable focal length lens that has a range that can be adjusted from a low end ...35-70mm...to a high zoom of 200 or 300mm.

only a Christmas deal?

What happened to the Canon - EOS Digital Rebel T1i package where you could get the 18-55mm lens and the 200mm lens?
Bundled packages rotate quite often. The current package like that is for the Canon XS.
