which digital SLR camera to buy sony, nikon or canon.
You cant go wrong with any of these three.
Canon has a wider range of lens selection however, Sony is catching up and can use most Minolta lenses. Sony also has Image Stabilization built into the body of the camera (Steady Shot) and wireless control of Sony Speed/Zoom flash off camera.
Nikon has several models that also shoot HD video with sound.
Which one is better...that is a question that is hard to answer. I have many friends in the photo club that shoot Canon and Nikon...I sold my Canon gear and shoot only Sony.
It would be best for you to stop by your nearest BestBuy, try several cameras at the demo area. Look at the features that best suit what shooting you want to do now, you can always upgrade later.

Does Best Buy carry an S-Video/USB adapter cord?
I am trying to transfer Camcorder video to DVD.
Roxio Easy VHS to DVD has a S-Video adapter that allows USB connection.

What is a good auto focus zoom lens for canon 450d
The lens that came with your camera is a good basic lens. Another useful lens to add to your arsenal is the 75-300mm. This adds considerable zoom to your shots. Adding a teleconverter will increase this amount of zoom up to 600mm.

Recomendation For camera to shoot product for web site.
Need a decent camera for shooting products in light tent. Just good quality pictures. Any recomendations?
A light tent will give you good even lighting. Any Compact or Advanced Compact with a Macro Mode setting will work.
You will get better control and higher quality images using a D-SLR camera with a Macro lens.
Canon, Nikon, Olympus and Sony all have entry level D-SLR cameras that would work well for this.

slr not shooting pictures
I just bought the olympus e420. On any setting after I take a few pictures the camera will focus in but not shoot. Is there a problem with the camera or do I have it on a setting that is making it do that.
If you don't hear a "Click" when the shutter button is pushed the mirror may not be moving out of the way to allow the sensor to take the photo.
Or there may be a writing to the memory problem. Either way it would be best to take it to your nearest BestBuy and let the Geek Squad take a look. They can advice you what to do.

The Nikon L-100 is an advanced compact. It looks similar to a D-SLR but unfortunately you cannot change lenses like a D-SLR.
You can add some filters and there may be a Teleconverter or Wide angle adapter that can be used.

There are many Sony chargers available online at BestBuy.com and at your local store. Depending on if you need N, M, P or I battery chargers. Take you battery to you nearest BestBuy for a correct match.
