1980's era Sears SLR lenses

My old 1980's era Sears SLR used K-mount lenses. Are these lenses compatible with the digital Pentax K SLRs?

It appears that Pentax has changed the K-mount lens system very little and the lenses should work on the newer D-SLR bodies.

Which camera allows you to view video's on the wall?

there is a digital camera that allows you to take photos and take brief videos. The video's can then be projected onto the wall for viewing. Do you know what brand/make/model allows this and how well does it work?

Is the Canon 50D worth the extra cost.

The Canon xsi with the 18-55mm lense and the 55-250mm lense at the price of $750 or the Canon 50D with the 28-135mm lense at the price of $1300. Is the 50D worth the additional $550 difference? Does this camera have any real major differences that make the difference in price worth while?

The D50 is a semi-pro camera with lots of features that a advanced amateur photographer would want. If you wanted to shoot sports or action subjects the D50 would be right for you. If still portrait or landscapes is you subjects the xsi would work fine.

When buying a camcorder, which format is best for downloading and editing ?

If the editing software you are using is AVCHD compatible a memory or Hard Drive camcorder is easiest to edit.
Mini DV with a firewire is next best.

I am looking for a SLR camera that will be used by a beginner who will be taking photos of sports and action as well as stills. What do you recommend

Sports and action photos are the hardest photos to get with entry level cameras. The need for a faster frame rate (FPS-Frames Per Second) moves you into a higher end camera.
Most entry level cameras are at a FPS of up to 3fps. Then there might be a 2 to 3 second wait as it finishes saving the photos before you can continue shooting.
Mid to Higher end cameras will shoot 5-6fps and do almost continuous shooting until you take your finger off the shutter button.
Take a look at the Nikon D5000. It has a 4fps that might just get by for sports shooting.

Wideangle Lens for FS 100 Camcorder

What wideangle lens is compatible with the Canon FS 100 camcorder? Can this lens be installed/removed quickly or will it have to be permanently installed (i.e. glued)?

You can get a Wide Angel Adapter to put on the lens. Check the thread size of the lens, usually stamped on the edge of the lens as a ## with a circle and a / through it. Get that size adapter and screw it on the lens.
The adapter can be added and removed as needed.

would like to know how to record at nightime or low light if my new sony camcorder doesn't have a light?

Depending on the model of the camcorder it should have a menu setting for "nightshot". When in this mode the camera uses a infrared light, not visible to the naked eye, but visible to the sensor to illuminate the area.
Some camcorders have a switch on the side to turn on nightshot.
