Sports and action photos are the hardest photos to get with entry level cameras. The need for a faster frame rate (FPS-Frames Per Second) moves you into a higher end camera.
Most entry level cameras are at a FPS of up to 3fps. Then there might be a 2 to 3 second wait as it finishes saving the photos before you can continue shooting.
Mid to Higher end cameras will shoot 5-6fps and do almost continuous shooting until you take your finger off the shutter button.
Take a look at the Nikon D5000. It has a 4fps that might just get by for sports shooting.

Depending on the model of the camcorder it should have a menu setting for "nightshot". When in this mode the camera uses a infrared light, not visible to the naked eye, but visible to the sensor to illuminate the area.
Some camcorders have a switch on the side to turn on nightshot.

Any Tripod will fit if there is a threaded area at the bottom of the camera. This is a standard size thread.

This would generally indicate that this reader/printer does not support SDHC. SD memory only goes up to 2gb. If it is a multi-card reader it will most likely read other cards such as CF that are over 2gb but not SDHC.
