Communication Speech for online learning?

I need to record Speeches and download it to my computer as a file, Youtube, Itunes etc and send to my Instructor. What camcorder is best, what accessories do I need? I am running Windows Vista if that plays a factor.
The FLIP Camcorders lend them selves to Youtube very well. To find out more about FLIP Camcorders follow this link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...
Unfortunately camcorders that work well with Youtube are not designed to be high end production cameras. It would be good to have a external mic input and a wireless mic to get closer to the person giving the speech. This would give you the clearest audio without sounding hollow. You can get higher end camcorders but you will need to do some post processing to upload to Youtube, not straight from camera to Youtube.

Why isnt elargement capability listed?

I am in need of a Digital camera, prefereably a Nikon, with 300dpi image resolution for enlargements of 20x30. Is there one? I purchased a 10mp Nikon that has resolution only capable of doing up to 8x12.
DPI (Dots Per Inch) is usually adjusted in your image editing software. File storage in a digital camera is very limited and image size is handled by PPI ( Pixels Per Inch). If a camera was to produce a image at 300PPI at 8 bit color the image would be over 25 megs in size. Some cameras are at 180 to 300 PPI but sacrifice bit depth at 4 bit to keep the file size down. So you loose color information. Shooting in RAW will increase the PPI in most cameras keeping the bit rate high.
Understanding DPI and PPI and how they relate to prints can get a little confusing. Follow this link for some more information: http://www.tildefrugal.net/photo/dp...

What editing software do you suggest for professional portraits?

There a many plugin programs for Adobe Photoshop CS and Lightroom.
Both Photoshop CS and Lightroom are essential for Photographers. If you don't already have them you can find out more by following these links:

A couple of my favorite stand alone programs are Nix effects and Portrait Professional.

what camera is best for taking close up shots of small items to sell on e-bay?

All most all cameras come with a Macro setting. This is the setting used for close up photography so finding a camera that has other feature that you like should be easy.
Also look into getting a portable light tent. Light is very important when doing Macro work. Check with your nearest BestBuy to see if they have one.

I want to buy a Canon Elph, but which one??

I want a Canon Elph but there are lots of different ones, which is the best??

I want the one that creates the boxes around everyone's faces when you are taking a photo.
The Canon SD780 IS should work well for you. It has Face Detection ( make boxes around the faces) so that the face becomes the main focus area. It also has image stabilization to insure a steady picture. To find out more follow this link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...

Is there a product that you can hook up to a Mac computer to transfer a movie from a DV tape to my Mac computer, my camera does not allow this option?

Pinnacle Systems makes the Dazzle for PC and the "Video Capture for MAC". To find out more about the MAC version follow this link: http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSi...

Film speed

Will a digital camera using ISO speed 1600 film be able to take satisfactory daylight pictures?
By increasing the ISO to 1600 you will be able to use higher shutter speeds in daylight. You will loose considerable detail and add some noise. If your looking to freeze action or get less blur for long zoom try 400-800 ISO. The noise will be less.

Wide-lens digital camera?

I need a wide lens camera for taking indoor home photos for real estate. any good recommendations for a digital camera with decent quality that won;t break the bank?
There a many compact cameras that have a wide angle type lens built in to give a wider field of view. It is generally marked on the box or in the specification on the site. You could add more field to an existing lens with a wide angle adapter: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...

Which non SLR camera has a good easy to use View finder

For compact cameras take a look at Canon A1000IS and A1100IS to start with. For more of a feel of a SLR with some of the features but not the price look at Advanced Digital Cameras like
Nikon P90 ,Canon SX10 IS and the Sony DSC-HX1.

Need a camera that take great pictures of gastronomy plates, with low light but great detalis

Need a camera not too big, for gastronomy photos, with great details and not much light for the pictures, need to unfocused the background. What to buy?
It would be helpful to see an example of the type of photo you are wanting to take.
If low light is an issue I would suggest a D-SLR. The larger sensor and larger lenses gather more light and the ability to increase the ISO sensitivity will work well in low light. Some form of image stabilization either on the lens or body will also be a good idea.
It would be best to get a lens with a f1.4 or f1.7 rating. This will help give you that soft focus background you are looking for.
Canon, Nikon and Sony all have great entry level D-SLR cameras that will do the job. Also look for a 20mm or 50mm, f1.4 or f1.7 lens.
