I easily mounted a 39-inch TV and, later, a 55-inch with this Rocketfish. Instructions are clear, and the package includes mounting screws in all sizes. So I had the right size for each TV without a trip to the hardware store. It was a bit of challenge fitting screws under the tilt adjustment knob, where they needed to be for the 55-incher. Luckily, the M8 by 21mm screws that Samsung requires were just short enough to work. The rails that let me slide the TV left and right meant I could center it perfectly over a cabinet. Other features I especially like include the tilt function that compensates for bright morning sun. I would buy this mount again.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Our household is well pleased with our new Samsung TU8000. Spending a little extra for series 8 features including the voice-activated One Remote and Bluetooth was worth it. We are able to adjust the picture and sound exactly as we like it. Setup with on-screen instructions was easy, even for our mature Baby Boomer brains. The remote is intuitive enough to guide us through its functions, although we still have use other remotes to set up cable recordings and control volume on external speakers. We don't use the Smart Things app for iPhones because our phones already control the TV as much as we need. We also were put off by the pay subscription for anything but basic features. We now have access to more entertainment than we will ever watch. Altogether, we're happy.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Does this TV automatically select the strongest wi-fi signal (2.4gHz or 5gHz)? As I understand things, my wi-fi-router and extender operate simultaneously with both, and 5gHz is best for streaming video, etc.

I retract my answer and yield to Val with Samsung. (the TU8000 does not support mirroring to your Samsung Refrigerator. This feature is available in our Q70T series and up as well as in some of our Lifestyle models. ^Val)

Will I need to purchase an HDMI cable for this TV? If so, what kind of cable or what model/brand?

As I understand, HDMI cables offer better sound and video connections than three-pronged RCA-style plugs and optical cables. They also carry video as well as video, so you need fewer cables. I have two HDMI cables connected from this TV to my cable box and Roku box, with the third HDMI output unused. I would have used it for my external speakers, but they have only optical inputs. As for brands, Best Buy's Insignia cables have worked fine.

It seems to to me that could find and download new streaming apps with the apps search function or even with the voice-activated remote.

Yes, although you have to enter characters one a a time on the on-screen keyboard. I've read that some people who use it a lot have connected a real keyboard to the TV.

The remote has built-in Alexa and also Google Assistant and Bixby, Samsung's voice app. You can choose one in settings. Alexa doesn't "listen constantly" like other Alexa devices. You have to hold the microphone button down while you talk, and then release it when Alexa's voice responds. Alexa works pretty well, but Google Assistant is better at some things. Bixby, not so much

Can you cast to this model?

You can use the TV's network setting to connect to a router or wi-fi extender. I use the screen mirroring function on my iPhone to cast to the TV, and it works well. A wi-fi extender gets the signal from my router around a corner to the TV. This helps prevent buffering and breakup when I'm casting videos.

Can you sync the remote with your gaming console? (e.g. PS4)

You can set up the remote to control other devices, but you might find that it takes more steps to use it that way. It took me a while to learn how to control my cable box, DVD player, and external speakers. Functions that take just one button push on the cable box remote, for example, might require going up a couple of layers or levels on the TV remote.
