Compact laptop, perfect for travel or college

I've had a few Dell computers and other laptops as well. This Dell laptop is quite small, but has enough memory and storage for most users. The 14-inch size is perfect for travelers or college students, plus it's light as well.
If you have big hands you might have problems with the keyboard, but for most people it's fine.
Startup and shutdown are very quick, since the hard drive is a solid-state drive, not a mechanical hard drive.
It's got 2 standard USB ports, a newer USB-C port, HDMI interface if you want to hook up to a separate monitor or TV and a micro-SD card slot for accessing photos or other storage.
The nice feature of this 2-in-1 laptop is the touch-screen monitor bends all the way around so you can use the laptop like a tablet if you don't need to use the keyboard. Perfect for playing games or watching a movie. The screen automatically rotates to the viewing angle you want to use, like your phone or tablet would do.
All in all, a great little computer that's not going to break the bank.

First off, before you buy this, make sure your device has the newer USB-C, which is a smaller port than traditional USB.
This USB-C flash drive is tiny. For comparison, look at the picture of it (black) next to a larger, traditional USB drive (orange). The newer drive is not only smaller, but thinner as well. Being so small, it's very easy to carry around with you, either in your pocket, a briefcase or purse.
Since my wife's laptop has a USB-C port, I decided to get this drive for her to back up her files. It has enough storage to back up everything important, plus it won't get confused for any other drive, since it's the only USB-C drive we have. Since it's so small, I put a lanyard on the hoop at the back of the drive, so we can hang it somewhere so it doesn't get lost.
Transfer speeds are very good, though it depends what type of internal drive your computer has as well. If you have a SSD hard drive, it will be very fast, but a traditional mechanical drive would slow things down.

Cool-looking battery backup designed for gamers

I've used UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply aka battery backups) for years, for computers and on our entertainment units, mainly so our DVR's don't reboot every time the power fluctuates.
This UPS is designed for gamers (or anyone else who needs a lot of power). I put the UPS on my basement entertainment center, which houses a DVR and big-screen TV, receiver, streaming box, Blu-Ray player, Xbox One, the DVR for my home security cameras and often my laptop is plugged in there as well when I'm gaming on my TV.
The UPS has 10 outlets, 6 that are battery backups and 4 that are surge-protected only. It also has 3 USB charging ports, in case you want to charge your phone or other device (even when the power is out and the unit is on battery power).
My favorite feature of this UPS is that it has a mute button. I hate the noise these devices make when the power goes out, so this one lets you turn it off all the time if you choose to. After all, generally you realize when the power is out.
After hooking up the UPS and letting it get to full battery charge, I unplugged it from the wall to test how it worked. Everything plugged into the battery backup slots stayed on as they should, though obviously the surge only plugs are dead at that point. You just have to prioritize what's important during a power outage.
Another nice feature of this UPS is the design. It looks like a small computer tower, it comes in black or white, mine's white, which looks good next to my Xbox One. It has customizable accent lighting which you can choose with the push of a button.
About the only criticism I have is one I have with most power units and power strips. They don't really allow for strangely-shaped plugs, which a lot of companies use for some weird reason. A little more room between plugs would be nice.

These headphones are extremely comfortable, there is a self-adjusting headstrap that conforms to your head. The ear cups are padded and fit snugly over your ears, blocking out the real world while you're playing a game or watching a movie.
Included with the paperwork for the headphones is a 2-year subscription to Dolby Access/ATMOS that you can download for your Xbox. The Dolby app tells you which movies and games are Dolby compatible and has a bunch of demos of games and movies so you can check out the enhanced sound. The headphones sound great while gaming and watching movies, I played Borderlands 3 and it sounded amazing. I also watched 1917 and Batman vs Superman, which were like all new movies with the great sound.
The headphones plug into your Xbox controller, so there is a short cable. If you want to use it elsewhere, you'd probably have to use an extension cable. The headphones come with a detachable boom mike, which is great because I almost never use the mike. That way it's not in the way when you're not using it. There is also a volume control slider on the headphone cable, so you can adjust the volume right on the headphones, instead of on the device you're using.
And though these are marketed for Xbox customers, they work just as well with a laptop or desktop computer. I played some games and listened to music on my laptop and they worked great.

I'm not kidding when I say this drive is TINY, it measures about 2 1/2 inches square and is only a quarter of an inch thick. It does not need a power cord, just the USB cable it comes with.
The USB cable is designed for USB-C (newer devices), you can either get it with an adapter for older USB or purchase one separately. I tried it on my wife's laptop, which has USB-C and it's very fast. On my laptop, I used the adapter, so it wasn't quite as fast, but still faster than older external hard drives.
4TB is an amazing amount of storage for a drive this small, making it perfect for travel or tucking away in a secure place for backup (safe deposit box, safe, etc).

I only had one controller for my Xbox One S, so this wired Pro Compact controller makes a good backup, in case I'm out of batteries (being wired, it doesn't need batteries) or have a second person I want to play games with. Just plug the controller into one of the USB ports and you're ready to go.
It also works with Windows 10 PC's, which is a nice bonus. I tried it with an older game, Left 4 Dead, and it worked just fine. You can download an app from the Microsoft Store (for free) that lets you customize the controller if you want to. The same app works on the Xbox as well.
You can plug your headphones directly into the controller, in case you want to play something loud and don't want to disturb anyone. There's a Dolby app you can download from the Microsoft Store (again free) to enhance the sound for both Xbox and PC. Even with the cheap headphones I was using, the demos and movie clips shown on the app sounded amazing. The app also gives you a list of movies and games with enhanced sound.
The USB cable for this controller is 3 meters long (9.8 feet for us in the US). It stretched long enough for me to plug it in the Xbox and me to use it sitting on my couch. I guess depending on your situation it could be too long or not long enough. For me it's just right.
The only downside I saw with the controller is that it's smaller than a standard Xbox controller, which is fine for people with small hands. While I don't have huge hands, I noticed the difference in the smaller size. While playing Borderlands 3 (a very controller-heavy game with lots of different buttons for different actions), I would often hit a couple of buttons at a time accidentally. It still works extremely well and that's a minor annoyance.
All in all, a good choice as a second controller or a first choice if you have smaller hands.

This is a very sleek and light monitor, with very little border around the edges, the way I like monitors.
It does not have built-in speakers, which is one of the reasons it's so light. I generally use headphones, so not having speakers is not an issue for me.
This model has HP's Eye Ease low blue-light system, which is supposed to lessen eye strain. The monitor has very vibrant colors and lots of options to choose from in it's on-screen menu (accessible from buttons on the bottom right of the monitor).
The monitor tilts easily so you can view it at the angle you prefer.
The monitor looks good whether you're surfing the web, playing games or watching videos. You can do two of those at the same time if you use AMD's Freesync, which allows you to split-screen two different programs.
The stand has a hollow channel, allowing you to feed the various cables through it, if you want a less cluttered desktop. This model gives you a VGA connector and two HDMI connectors, in case you want to hook up a computer and a video game console or Blu-Ray player.

Budget Blu-Ray player with some streaming apps

If you're looking for a basic player to be able to play DVD's, Blu-Rays and even music CD's, this is the player for you. It even has some streaming apps (Netflix, Youtube, Vudu are among the best known).
If shelf space in your entertainment center is limited, this player is only nine inches wide. It comes with an HDMI cable, so you don't have to purchase one separately.
I tried this player with the following formats: DVD, Blu-Ray, music CD and even a home-burned DVD. All of the formats worked fine and I tried out the included Netflix app, which also performed as expected.
The remote might be a little small for people with big hands, but it works fine and the button layout is pretty standard.

I've used several different anti-virus and internet security packages over the years, including Norton. This suite is designed for gamers and includes anti-virus, internet security, a VPN, cloud backup, a password manager, firewall and dark web monitoring for your personal information (through Norton's LifeLock).
Part of the gaming aspect is that the program is supposed to give you fewer pop-up and notifications, especially if you are playing a game full-screen. I can attest that I got very few notifications and none when I was playing a game.
The program is easy to use and can be installed on up to three devices (PC, Mac, Android and/or iOS.
I had never used LifeLock before, though I have used other credit protection software and websites and the process is similar. You enter various information about yourself (addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, gamertags, etc) and the program will alert you if there is any breached information out on the web.
Even though it's a pretty powerful and versatile program, Norton does not seem to impede system performance at all, which is important to gamers.

Great cordless trimmer with several attachments

It's a very nice trimmer, charges with a USB cable (that can plug into the provided electric plug or any source that can do USB charging). The trimmer's battery is lithium ion and holds a charge quite a while. My wife was able to give me a haircut with the trimmer and then I was also able to shave and do some other grooming and it still was going strong.
At first I thought the brushed-metal finish would be slippery, but it really wasn't. It comes with several attachments for the trimmer head, for different hair lengths. It also has two different heads you can put on. The trimmer head comes off, then you can use the shaver head or the nose & ear trimmer head. All seemed to work very well.
All in all, a great trimmer that can be used for all of your grooming needs.

Does this (Type-C Flash Drive) work in place of a regular SanDisk Ultra 256GB USB 3.0?
It will work on any device that has a Type C USB port. It will not work on traditional USB ports unless you have some type of adapter.

It says on the box it's compatible with Windows 10 and 8.1, macOS and Android, but doesn't specify anything further.
