Solid and strong

The Ninja Chef is a heavy, well-built blender that can tackle any task you want to throw at it. I generally use the manual modes but have sampled a couple of the presets and they work quite well for their intended use. Still waiting to try out ice cream but that's on my agenda soon. The suction feet hold it securely in place, although this can also be a bit of a nuisance if you store yours in a pantry as I do since the feet stick quite firmly. The 72 ounce jar is more than large enough for all my purposes. Clean up is very simple since the whole machine breaks down for that purpose. I have yet to be able to make the motor sound like it was struggling in the least and I have been trying my best. Definitely a major step up from my old unit.

Fast shaves, long run time

This cordless razor shaves substantially faster than the one I'm replacing. Charging takes an hour for about an hour of shave time. I like that you can use it wet or dry and can even use shaving cream with it if you want. The only drawback I've found is that the turbo button and the power button are so close together and similarly shaped that they are easy to confuse if you don't pay attention. Otherwise it's a great shaver that covers well. Don't expect blade closeness but it does about as good as you can expect from a cordless rotary razor.

Great for soft foods, no ice or hard items

I love the ergonomics of this immersion blender. I've been using a competitor's version for many years and really enjoyed it until it burned up during a particularly furious cooking weekend. Enter the Phillips Avance ProMix. At first I was a bit concerned by the single button speed control, not thinking I could keep it steady and would just be on "high" all the time but it's incredibly easy and the tactile feel is terrific. Blending soups and sauces is quick and easy (and doesn't require pulling one of the bigger units out of the pantry closet). Cleanup is easy but beware the blades are extremely sharp so if you get food chunks stuck behind them, resist the urge to use your finger to get it dislodged. Trust me on this one. The only downside I see is that you can't use this mixer to chop ice, frozen foods, or anything that's relatively solid as the titanium blades may break off. Lots of warnings about this in the manual so I'm taking their word for it...wouldn't want a chunk of blade floating around in something you're going to eat. My old unit didn't have this limitation and I often would use it for crushing small amounts of ice, hard nuts, frozen berries, etc., so this unit will require me to adjust my usage a bit. That's the only reason I knocked a star off. One bonus for this unit that's not something you'd normally think about is that it doesn't include a bunch of useless accessories that are going to junk up your drawers or storage spaces. It's just a simple and well-designed machine that does the job it's advertised to do.

Fun toy with realistic action, wonky controls

So my kiddo and her friends love the Ultimate Lightning McQueen. After the initial wait for a full charge (about 2 hours) they have been able to consistently get 35-40 minutes of run time out of it. Setup through the app is effortless. The learning curve for driving is a bit more burdensome. Of course, the kids figured it out much faster than I did but that's to be expected. I was hoping for dual joysticks like a normal R/C vehicle but not so much with this one. After figuring it out, driving was fun and the LED eyes combined with the "emotive" movements really set this apart from basically everything else on the market. It's a tad smaller than I expected but it's heft makes it feel like a quality made product. I've managed to slam him into a wall several times with no noticeable damage. (I luckily barely avoided a tumble down the stairs which could have been a major issue!) The cost of entry is a bit high, but with all the tech packed into the car that's understandable. I have had no connection or lagging issues, much like other Sphero toys. If the controls were easier to use I'd definitely give this one a 5-star rating.

Great business projector, decent for movies too

The Epson VS355 is a great portable projector for business presentations. Excellent color renditions and crisp picture, even in brightly lit conference rooms when on the eco setting. Color output level lumens are equal to black and white which is a welcome change from the projector this one is replacing. Input options alcoves just about any use case. A VGA cable is included in the box but no HDMI or component cables. The sound quality is about what you expect from a business projector--sub par. There is no audio out so if you need better sound then you'll have to come up with a solution on your own. Documentation included is relatively lacking but the online manual is pretty comprehensive. I've also tried running a steaming stick directly into the HDMI input and was pleasantly surprised with how well this projector handles movies. It's definitely not home theater quality but it's acceptable for a backyard movie night. Instant recognition of input source and picture correction options are plentiful. I've been really impressed with this little unit. About the only negative thing I can say is that the fan is a little louder than my old projector but this one also produces more heat which I'm assuming requires a larger fan, thus adding to the noise level. I'd highly recommend the Epson for anyone needing a good quality, general use projector at a pretty decent price point.

Good sound, good battery, not a fan of fit options

This is my third set of Jaybird earbuds and are my third favorites. Don't get me wrong, these are great headphones but there are a couple of things I dislike. First the pros. They are lightweight, the new integrated cord management system is a huge improvement over the old clip thing, the sound is awesome and configurable through the app, and the integrated battery easily lasts 4 hours. Now the bad, the charging clip is still clunky and seems like it will be easy to lose, plus it makes that side very heavy which tends to pull the earbud out of position. Also, the new tips have the fins integrated which means you are stuck with the options Jaybird thinks work best. None are a perfect fit for me as either he tip or wing will be slightly large or small when the other is perfect. I prefer the old style where you could mix and match. After taking some time, I found the set that works best. Not perfect but they are serviceable. That's really the only thing I've found wrong with these buds and those things are really personal preference. Overall a good headphone and a good investment for a set of mid-level Bluetooth earbuds.

Small in everything but sound

The Bose Soundlink Micro has more than exceeded my expectations! I was really thinking it would be a tinny sounding speaker when I first took it out of the box. Boy was I wrong! The sound is comparable to my Soundlink Color II in a much more compact size. The strap is great for bike handlebars on long trail rides and works equally well on a chair leg around the pool. It's water and dust proof so I don't have to worry about it taking abuse and stopping. It just keeps on rocking along. Battery life is acceptable for its size. I've been getting about 6-7 hours at relatively high volumes. The only thing I dislike is that there is no flat side so you can't really stand the speaker up by itself. It has to be propped up or strapped to something. Not a huge deal but if that's a concern for you just be aware. Even with that, this has become my go-to Bluetooth speaker. The size is great and can even slide into a pocket if needed.

Powerful, quiet, handy, versatile

The Shark IONFlex rep[aces an older cordless vacuum by another manufacturer that I've been using for quite some time and have really loved. The Shark blows the old one away in terms of power and versatility. It is substantially quieter than my old one, the powerhead is smaller (which has its pros and cons depending on your use case), and it is light enough to move around with ease.
The vacuum comes with two batteries, which is needed as the advertised life is 11 minutes on max cleaning and 23 minutes on battery saver. In my real world use, these times are pretty close to spot on. As the batteries get some age on them, I expect these numbers to decrease somewhat. I mainly use this machine downstairs in my home which has floor coverings ranging from tile, hardwood and area rugs. It has no trouble transitioning from one to the other.
Maneuverability is easy and with the low-profile head, it easily goes under couches, entertainment centers, recliners and kitchen cabinet overhangs. The ability to "flex" the wand lets you get all the way to the wall when going under furniture. The only complaint here is that there is no positive stop or lock with the flex...its either locked straight or freely flexing. I'd like to have seen a mid-way or "all-the-way" lock, but after a couple of uses you can adjust and it works decently well. The handle is relatively long, so if you've got shorter arms, expect the machine to be a good distance in front of you. The seemingly incomplete wand design is why I knocked a star off my rating.
Converting to a hand vac takes only a quick press of a button and adding one of the three attachments included in the box--a crevice tool, a dusting wand or a small nozzle (which can be used with or without the brush head as it easily detaches for use on hard surfaces). Emptying the dust bin requires you to remove the hand vac portion and pressing another button. Very simple and intuitive. The bottom of the bin drops open and the dust falls into the can. No muss, no fuss.
As I said before, the powerhead is smaller than what I've been used to so cleaning large areas may take a bit longer as you aren't covering as much with each pass. However, the size lets it easily pass between chair legs that otherwise would have to be moved out of the way. That's a plus for me as I'm typically vacuuming around a dining table with 8 chairs, a kitchen table with 4, and several other random chairs placed throughout the various rooms. Not having to move and replace them is a big time saver for me.
Finally, I've been impressed by the power of this little guy. It easily pulls dirt, pet and human hair, and whatever else ends up on your floor. It has two rotating heads, one is the standard hard roller with stiff bristles and the other is a softer, dusting-type head. In combination, dirt and debris don't stand a chance.

Simple and it just works

This Keurig replaced a several year-old first generation that was on its last legs. The K-Select is a much more slimmed down model, both in terms of footprint and features, than the one it replaced. There are no user changeable settings on this machine (such as temperature, auto-on/off, etc.) The machine has a power button, four buttons for selecting brew size--6, 8, 10 and 12 oz.--and a new one labelled "Strong" which basically intensifies the flavor/strength of the brew. (Note--this is a single-serve maker only. It does not support K-Carafe pods.) Setup takes only a few of minutes (the longest part is soaking the water filter for 5 minutes--I recommend starting with that before removing the packing tape, etc. so it's ready by the time you get the machine in place). Removing the water tank for filling is greatly improved over old models as it now has only a single tab and slot to line up and no awkward maneuvers are needed. It drops quickly and effortlessly into position. You can brew 4-5 cups before refilling the tank. The drip tray is removable so you can fit travel mugs with ease. Operation is simple and typical for a Keurig--lift the lid, drop in a k-cup, close it and tap the appropriate brew size button. A minute or so later (depending on size) and you've got a piping hot cup of Joe. The temperature is perfect for me, while it is a bit warm for the wife and a tad cool for my visiting father. As I said earlier, there's no way to adjust it, so you're pretty well stuck with the temperature Keurig believes is ideal. For a no-frills machine, the K-Select is perfect. That's what I wanted but if you need or want more features or control, move up to a different model.

Decent camera, clunky interface

Upon opening the camera, I had it set up and running within a matter of just a few minutes. It's as simple as plugging it into the wall, downloading the app, and following very simple and straightforward instructions. The longest part of the process was waiting on a firmware update to download and install. Once the camera was up and running it has worked flawlessly and provides a decent view in most lighting conditions. The microphone and speaker are essentially useless in my use; seems like they were just a last minute add-on to pump up the spec sheet. I didn't care for the super-bright LED ring surrounding the camera which drew lots of unwanted attention to its presence. Toggling it off in the app did nothing at first, but after a quick power-cycle the light ultimately did turn off. While you can watch a live view of the camera at any time you'd like through the app, the only actual recording occurs when movement is detected. You can adjust the sensitivity to some level, but it's still touchy in my opinion. Trying to review recorded segments is somewhat of a pain as the interface is very clunky and you have to scroll through each "clip" to find the one you want--and they are only stored in the cloud so you have to have a decent connection to watch; there is no ability to record locally (you can download individual clips once you find the one you want). If you subscribe to the "protect" plan where you have access to 30 days of recordings, while it sounds good, is basically worthless as it would be extremely frustrating and time consuming to scroll through more than just a couple of days, even if you knew the exact date and time of the clip you wanted to review. Unfortunately, the vast limitations of the app, the inability to record locally, "motion-only" record, the worthless two-way communication, high priced "optional" mounts, and high cost of premium services with limited usefulness keep me from being able to love this camera. With a few software tweaks, this system could be great. With the limitations, I'd tentatively recommend it and encourage the interested person to fully research the pros and cons first.
On a side note, the wired and wireless cameras are physically NOT the same. That is to say, you cannot add a battery pack to the wired camera to convert it to wireless, nor can you buy a wireless and place it on a wired mount if the battery were to die. Not sure why Logitech to go with this design, but making them interchangeable would be a welcomed improvement.

Does this clean hard floor surfaces as well?
It will if you purchase the optional hard surface roller and nozzle. Using the carpet roller won't work as the brushes won't come into enough contact with hard surfaces to clean properly. The set comes with two bottles of multi-surface cleaner and is relatively inexpensive.

Only in the dark from my experience. Any ambient light overpowers the low light output of the projector unfortunately.

How does this system work without the monthly monitoring. Can I get alerts on my phone without the monitoring?
Essentially, without the monitoring you have little more than a noise-maker. You cannot get alerts on your phone or otherwise "self-monitor" the system. If no one is home when an alarm sounds, you will have no way of knowing it happened. If a bad guy comes in, your only hope is that the noise will scare him away.

I'm restating my former question in a more direct manner, concerning damage to BASEBOARDS and WOOD Furniture legs not wood floors, by the side bristles on the Roomba. Did the side bristles cause damage to these areas?
I've got the 690 and haven't noticed issues with the bristles harming my baseboards or furniture legs. I would assume the 877 has similar bristles. Damage is much more likely from direct strikes by the body of the machine.

In real-world use, expect to get 8-10 minutes on max clean and about double that on standard. Since there are two batteries included, total run-time should be near 20 minutes on max and over 40 on standard which has been more than sufficient for my uses.

Yes, you can stream from any Bluetooth device directly to the system. It also is Google Cast enabled if that fits your needs.
