SynopsisYou faced down a pit of snakes in pursuit of the Ark of the Covenant. You rode along on the insane mine car chase to recover the magical stones. You were there with him every step of the way, including that one terrifying step into the void of the canyon, as he sought the Holy Grail. Now Indiana Jones is preparing for his greatest adventure yet — one that involves everything you've known and loved about Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. The only difference is that Indy's gone LEGO.LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures combines all the action and excitement of the Indiana Jones series with the quirky fun and creativity of LEGO. Join Indy as he pursues whip-cracking adventures across the globe, from the mountains of India to the jungles of South America. Relive some of your favorite moments from the films, including the heart-pounding boulder run that started it all. Immerse yourself in fully-realized LEGO environments as you swim through dangerous currents, climb sheer precipices and shimmy across rock ledges. Repel your enemies with whatever weapons you can find close at hand, including chairs, guns and bottles. And just like real LEGOs, you can mix and match characters' body parts for new dimensions of fun — just imagine the creative possibilities of characters such as Sallah Scott and Mola Round. With LEGO Indiana Jones, you're in for a thrill ride like you've never imagined — hold onto your hat.

If you played Lego Star Wars...

If you played Lego Star Wars, you basically know what to expect from this game. There is more of a focus on puzzles more than straight out fighting though. But since there's no real difference between this version and the PS2 version (except better graphics) I'd save the extra money and just get the PS2 copy.
What's great about it: Same fun as LSW, more focus on puzzles, play through the movies
What's not so great: Some targeting issues, kinda long load times
I would recommend this to a friend!

$20? Still too much.

I was a huge fan of Sonic in the Genesis days, but any 3D version has been a dissapointment, and this game is no different. The camera has been the biggest issue and the trend continues for this one. Speed is Sonic's gig and they just haven't figured out a way to mesh that with a 3D world, but they are getting closer. There were parts that showed promise, but it still doesn't make it a good game. Playable for only the most hardcore Sonic fans.
What's great about it: The character changes are nice
What's not so great: Pretty much everything else
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is platforming gaming at it's best. If you've played the past games, you know what to expect, but it's also a perfect jump on point for people new to the series. If you can figure out a controller, you can play this game and it's enjoyable for any age of gamer.
What's great about it: Pick up and play, funny, inventive weapons.
What's not so great: Nothing groundbreaking over past games.

not only will you have to buy a converter so the electricity isn't a problem, but you'll have to buy an AC adapter so you can even plug it into the wall.

total new to the modern era gaming

I am from the old time 80s with the single arcade games. I want to get a system for my kids. From what I read, seems like the PS3 with the BlueRay is a no brainer. What am I missing? And what else do I need to get so they can play right away.
Thanks
The system you want depends on your kids ages and interests. The Wii tends to aim to the younger crowd, and the 360 gears more towards the sports fans and online players. For my money though, I love the PS3.
The system comes with only one controller, so you might want to get more depending on how many kids you have. Also, games are important and I would recommend Ratchet and Clank for platformer/action, Orange Box or Bio Shock (depending on age) for a first person shooter, LittleBigPlanet if they're creative, or Lego Star Wars: The complete saga if they're fans of legos, star wars or just a fun simple game.

External Hard drive for PS3??

My boyfriend hinted several months ago that he would like a hard drive for his PS3. But Im not a gamer or electronic freak like him (haha) so I have no idea what Im looking for. Any suggestions?
If I remember right, you can use pretty much any external hard drive with a USB port. Ask a Best Buy employee or game store employee to be sure though.

best multi co-op games for ps3?

My husband and I enjoy gaming together, but haven't found many good games since Project Eden. Are there co-op games for the PS3 to play at home, not online?
A lot, just depends on what you're interested in. Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Guitar Hero/Rock Band, any of the Lego games, Simpsons, Rayman: Raving Rabbids... there's tons. Just depends what you like.

Do I need two wheels to race with Mario Kart?

you don't even need one wheel. All you need is a Wii remote and hold it sideways. The wheel is just a plastic attachment to give you a more driving like feel.
