Yes. Mine did not ship with a pen, but I have pen from the Acer store ($50) which works great. I also have a Sony Active Pen ($60) and that also works great but makes some tapping noise on the screen. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 pen also works, but it is not as sensitive and you have to press a little harder. The HTC stylus ($10 on Amazon) also works but not as smoothly as the others.by

Yes, although Acer has not come out with the digitizer pen, it will be available in the near future. Although I wouldn't buy this computer! Read the reviews first! I bought it when the 2nd gen of this laptop first came out and sadly after 2 days had to return the laptop because of problems with the wireless card which Acer has still failed to fix.by

I have tried four pens:The Acer stylus from the Acer store works great.
The Sony Active Pen works also great, but is a little noisy (tap tap tap on the screen).
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 stylus works okay, but is not as sensitive as the Acer or Sony pens.
The HTC stylus ($10) works okay as a mouse but does not work well enough to produce neat handwriting.
This computer has an N-Trig digitizer. The Wacom pens will not work on this screen.

I'm very new to digitizer pens so I'm not very knowledgeable, but I purchased my Acer digital pen directly from Acer's website. I looked on Amazon for generic brands first but couldn't find anything that didn't have that 5mm bulbous rubber tip.Acer sent me a "Welcome" coupon with a 10% discount on their own pen when I registered my new laptop, so I used that and was assured that I would have a compatible pen.
And it works great!

I bought the previous model (571) about a month ago, which has a 24 gig SSD. It boots super fast. Does the new model come with this as well? I don't see it on the specs.Also, to those who are complaining about the wireless issues, I have had zero problems with wireless on my 571 model, and that includes using my computer on my college's horrible internet service. I get the same speeds as other computers using the same internet. I highly doubt I was the only one to get one that worked. It is more likely that just a small percentage didn't work (there are always bad eggs in a batch) and/or those who had problems just had bad internet.

The Wifi problems and lagging speeds were widely known on the 571, I just returned one for the 572 and it is a world of difference.. for 50 extra dollars it should be a no brainer..by

Want acer to acknowledge if they noticed the 99% defective laptops in the original and I thought the refreshed was all about that fix plus little spec bumps. They didnt answer other guy whom asked so far and this is real important. Amazing laptop but needs the wifi fixed.by

Hi Cody,I just bought this laptop a few days ago after doing a lot of research. I also saw all of the threads on Acer and BestBuy's website complaining about the wireless issues with the R7-571 model and saw that Acer had reviewed the comments and I thought planned on doing something about it. I was very excited when I saw that they were coming out with the second generation of this computer and thought that they had fixed the problem, but unfortunately after 2 days of messing around with it and not being able to get a fast, stable connecting to the internet i had to take it back to Bestbuy. A comparable laptop that I would suggest looking at is the Sony Vaio Flip 14A. you can check it out on BestBuy's website with the SKU: 2006033 or you can go on Sony's website directly and build your own! Anyway, hope this helps!

I'm the person who asked the question. Despite the Team Acer reply above, a response from eCommerce@acer.com says "Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Unfortunately, this unit does not have WiDi." If that's a key feature for you, I would have the salesperson demonstrate that capability before you buy.by

If you purchase it outside of China while traveling, I am not aware of any restrictions: check your local importation laws. Some of the software loaded on the unit may not be legal to import to China due to licensing restrictions.Check Best Buy shipping guidelines are not clear as to whether or not they will ship this unit internationally. Since this model appears to be only sold by them in the U.S., you may have to buy a similar model elsewhere.
This is a 64-bit system, so it should support Chinese characters. You would need to purchase a different version of Win 8.
