No. The literature states that the monitor is not water-proof. It does say that you can shower with it, I believe, but I would not recommend it.by

The watch is water resistant, not waterproof. They do not recommend swimming with it on but is OK in the shower with limited water exposure.by

According to MyBasis.com, officially supported phones are Samsung Galaxy S4, S III, S II, Nexus, Note, Note II, Note III, Moto X, HTC One, LG Nexus 4, and Nexus 5. However, any Android phone with version 4.1.2 and above and a screen size between 3 and 6 inches should work, though those not supported may experience technical issues or bugs. Yes, Paul the Basis tracker shows date and time. You will need to re-charge every 3-4 days.Great watch.
They have release the new Basis Peak recently if you are looking for a new device. I have not seen it yet.

I have a Precor AMT (commercial machine) and I have a fitbit. My fitbit only seems to count every other step. I don't see these fitness trackers ever say anything in their descriptions about ellipticals. Please advise. Thanks!by

No. I even had trouble tracking steps on a stair machine. It is not super accurate on step counting overall, therefore the calories reported by the watch are not accurate. The heart rate works sporadically which also contributes to inaccurate calorie tracking.9 years, 7 months ago

Put the fitbit flex on your shoelace prior to starting the bike riding, it will count the revolutions as steps.by

My wife thought it under-counted her steps, but she would rather have that than have it exaggerate every step. She developed a rash on her wrists (both) so stopped using it for now. She really liked it until the rash.by
