Mr. Samsung reported that the Amazon Instant app was supported on this set. But I've seen recently the newer models support Amazon Instant app, but have removed support for Amazon Prime video sources. I need to know for certain that Amazon Prime video sources are supported before I buy.
Amazon instant video app is supported on this TV. And it is not as good as Netflix app, but it works. I watched lot of TV shows on instant video without an issue.
Amazon offers the Amazon Instant Video App on many models of the Samsung platform.
I'm not sure what is meant by "sources", but the titles they make available are the titles that are available. We don't control the content, so this question would be better asked directly to Amazon.
Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. While we can speak on some level on some Apps, this is a specific question that is best answered by the content suppliers - in this case, Amazon.
Yes, you can change the aspect ratio. It does have Amazon & Vudu, they work quite well. It does not however have the Verizon FIOS app, which I really wish it did ;-)
The player itself has an aspect ratio for the video output, so any additional picture-sizing features would have to reside in the App itself. If you're viewing on a widescreen, we recommend you set the player's setting at 16x9 widescreen. You can change it, although it may produce different results based on the native aspect ratio of the movie.
Vudu Plus and Amazon Instant Video will be available Apps.
If Apple TV uses an HDMI port then YES , as the TV has 4 HDMIs. A sound bar is only necessary if you have a mild hearing issue or if you are an audiophile who needs theater-sound. In that case, a sound bar would be a nice add-on (I don't use one).
Yes & yes , you can hook up Apple TV Works well with Samsung ! Soundbar has made this TV awesome Already had a soundbar with my old TV which worked seamlessly with this TV , the sound was decent but the Soundbar took it to perfection !
Two speakers, 10W apiece. They fire downward, making the warnings about rear-firing speakers being muffled irrelevant. (FYI - your question & others about tech details are answered in the Samsung specs on their webpage).
Clear motion rate is Samsung's terminology. Yes it does refer to the hertz. My understanding is that Samsung's 240 translates to 120 hz. It's not 240 hz. But the 120 hertz is what I wanted vs. 60 hz. Hope this helps.
I am not an expert, but after reading a bit on the internet it appears the Clear Motion rate is a made up number by Samsung to indicate the relative refresh rate of the TV (related to frequency, but not identifcal). I've attached a web link that has some background on it, but generally the higher the Clear Motion rate, the faster the TV updates/refreshes but it is not 1-to-1. http://www.rtings.com/info/fake-refresh-rates-samsung-clear-motion-rate-vs-sony-motionflow-vs-lg-trumotion
Caution: Many manufacturers DOUBLE the hertz to devise their made-up clear-motion rate which isn't even an industry standard. Here a rule of thumb. If watching lots of sports/live action (240 hertz is excellent ... and 120 is decent) 60 Hz might have some blur to it now and then. Ignore manufacturers terms like Clear motion and the like as they are made-up terms anyway). Happy viewing.
No, the clear motion rate is the manufacturer's own descriptor of the refresh rate to make it sound better. To compare TVs across manufacturers, always look at the actual refresh rate in Hz as this is objective.
Yes if you have a samsung phone. Other wise use the apps and you can stream to tv. Only if you and the tv are on the same network. Ie... Your phone on wifi and tv either hardwired networked or on same wifi. YouTube and netflix work great. Push the tv logo and choose samsung television.
Yes, you first have to pair them, like a bluetooth, but then you just hit the "Source" button and you're watching your phone on the TV. I have an Android phone so that might make a difference, but I think it uses the wifi, so it shouldn't make a difference.
