Yes, you can tilt it but it was stiff at first and I was afraid I was going to break it. I grasp is firmly in the center on both sides and it moves pretty easily now.

I owned several Samsung monitors with this same base for a few years before I realized that they do tilt! Just hold the base down on the desktop firmly and then tilt the screen from the top with some care.

A:

Yes, it tilts. Grasp it firmly on both the left and right sides, near the bottom. Use a rotating motion to tilt it. It's a little stiff at first.

A:

Yes this monitor does tilt. You have to muscle it a little bit but it will tilt forward. Hold the base with one hand & pull the top of the monitor towards you. At least mine does.

The RED color is in the bezel around the screen. It is a very dark red and barley noticeable.

A:

The red color listed is a tinting within the black housing around the screen, which is almost imperceptible unless viewed in the right light. I actually held it up to the light to try and figure out what red color they were referring to in the description. This has no effect whatsoever on the image displayed on the screen.

It wont really. The red is not very noticeable (in my experience) unless i turn off the display and actually look at the sides. Its just for the looks :)

HDMI is a cable specification. It's how you connect the monitor to the computer or a TV to the cable box, Roku, Blueray/DVD player. You generally have to purchase HDMI cables separately from the TV/Monitor.

HDMI stands for High Definition Multi-media Interface.

It's a cable and connection system that connects your computer or peripherals to your high resolution television or monitor.

Both audio and video (if audio is available on monitors) is transferred. If no audio is available on your monitor, only the video will be sent.

Because there is no speaker on this monitor, buddy :) plus if i were you, i would invest in some quality headphones, or an external studio speaker system. A $40 speaker system will do just fine

It may be able to, but in some cases it may require an adapter, depending on the port you have available as a monitor-out port. The driver may be already installed, but that would be something that an authorized Apple representative could best answer.

The drivers included on the disc will support Win 2000/XP/Vista/Win7/Win8 (32 and 64bit).

Q:

Is the stand (and leg) for this monitor completely removable? I am looking to mount 2 of these on an external arm. I have an older Samsung monitor model on which the part of the stand attached to the monitor does not come off.
Also is it VESA compatible?

Yes, the stand is removable. It ships without the stand attached.

BUT, there are no VESA or other mounting holes on the back so I don't think this will do for your needs.

I would go to the store and check the backs of the monitors or look for VESA compatible mounting in the description.

I am unaware of a setting on the monitor. I have always touched the power button. It takes all of 2 seconds. Since it is a touch-sensitive power button, it is more pleasant to use than the push on/off.

If you turn the monitor OFF, it will not power up when you turn the PC on again.
There's really no reason to turn it "off" anyway.
Sleep mode is basically off, it just means it will turn back on when you boot the PC.

Need a small HDMI Cable to go with this monitor...

Q:

So I have a very badly placed graphics card and casing that stops me from using a normal HDMI Cable. Basically I can't fit a normal HDMI Cable into the socket due to the plastic edges stopping the actual metal connector part.

Are there any HDMI Cables that have an extended Metal Connector or smaller Plastic sides that would be able to help fix this problem that I could use without buying a cord and breaking the plastic parts off?

Note I don't need a mini HDMI cable, I need a normal one that will be small enough on the ends to fit into.

Since the cord you already have has a plastic connector, I would suggest using a utility knife or X-acto knife (kitchen sheers or even paring knife) to trim a little bit of the plastic away on the HDMI connector. Its cheaper than spending another $25+ for another cord and there's no reason it shouldn't work, I've done similar with USB connectors.

You can break off some of the plastic off the HDMI to make it fit. Or you can find a cheap HDMI online with a slimmer design that will fit. I've been in your shoes before.
