I am looking for a camera with a good zoom so I can take pictures at indoor concerts? What would you recommend?

A D-SLR camera will give you almost unlimited zoom with none of the artifacting that you would get from a digital zoom found on compact cameras. D-SLR cameras have interchangeable lenses. That way you stay with optical zoom all the time. The lenses are bigger and gather more light and the sensor is bigger on a D-SLR. All this adds up to a better, sharper brighter picture.

I am looking for an inexpensive digital camera that has a threaded lens - so I can attach a 52mm wide angle lense?

The size of the lens is what is going to determine the camera in this instance, not just finding a threaded mount on a camera. There are several entry D-SLR cameras around $499, however it is the lens size you need to look at. The stock lens for the Nikon D40 uses a 52mm filter thread.

Looking for a good camera for taking advertising photos

I'm looking for a good quality camera to take photos for print advertising. The pictures are generally taken indoors, with poor lighting. I usually have to squeeze into tight spaces and can have a lot of background clutter. I am currently using a Sony Cybershot 6.0mp at the highest resolution, but when the images are put into the print they become granular and dark. Taking pictures of items so that they are more accurate in size and color is important. I don't know very much about cameras, just point & shoot, but I do know we need to upgrade and I need someone to point me in a good direction.
When using a compact camera, noise in the picture is common place in dark situations. The sensor in these cameras are very small, about the size of an eraser on a pencil or just slightly bigger. They need a lot of light to get a decent image. Changing to an entry level D-SLR would resolve many of your issues. D-SLR cameras have a much larger sensor which will need less light and give you better, truer color. More color also will give you a sharper image. The ISO (Sensitivity of the sensor) can also be set higher on a D-SLR and most cameras come with built in noise reduction. If a flash is needed, the one on a D-SLR is stronger covering more area and farther distance. There are entry level D-SLR cameras that start around $499 just a little more than a higher end compact or advanced camera.

Which cameras are wifi

I am aware there are several nikon cameras that have wifi, but exactly which ones is still a question...
Wi-Fi Cameras are still not as popular as standard compact cameras yet. There are a few available such as the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ50, Nikon COOLPIX S610c and S52c. You can make any SD Memory camera Wi-Fi by adding a Eye-Fi Memory card to it. This is a 2GB Secure Digital card that has 802.11a/b/g wireless connectivity and can automatically save pictures onto your computer.

What would be the best camera for taking pictures in a gym? My pics always turn out dark.

If you are using a compact camera there might be several issues going on at once. One might be the flash is going off and is not strong enough to reach your subjects. The Flash on a Compact camera only has an effective range of about 6-9 feet. Also Compact cameras have a small sensor, a little bigger than the size of the eraser head on a pencil. These sensors are not very light sensitive and cannot be set to a very high ISO...1600 if your lucky a little more if your really lucky. The higher the ISO the less light you need for a picture, but also the more Noise you get in the photo, especially on a Compact camera.
To get get more control over these settings and have faster shutter speeds to catch the action and have sharper images a D-SLR is the best choice. It has a MUCH bigger sensor, almost the size of a Quarter. The ISO can bet set on some cameras up to 3200 and even higher. Most models come with noise reduction built into the camera. The Flash is much stronger on a D-SLR and you can add an external Flash with a range of 35 feet or more. Plus there are interchangeable lenses for almost unlimited zoom options.

I'm looking for a new digital camera that has minimal shutter lag but I don't know which to buy

Shutter lag is most common and noticeable in compact cameras. Advanced cameras are a little better. If you really want to get away from Shutter Lag, getting a Digital-SLR is the best solution. With a D-SLR the Auto Mode is much faster than a Compact and in Manual Mode it is almost instantaneous when you press the shutter. Go to your nearest BestBuy and try a D-SLR Camera to see the difference.

Is there a touch screen camera?

Yes. Panasonic, HP, Nikon, Samsung and Sony, just to name a few, all have Touch Screen models. Sony seems to currently have the most Touch Screen cameras.

With HD camcorders, does your TV have to be HD to watch what you record?

Generally no..you don't have to have a HD TV. You can connect to a SD (Standard Definition) TV with a HD camcorder with the A/V (Audio Video) outputs and you should see the video in “Letter Box”. Using the A/V Cables you are basically Down Converting to SD.
