SDHC

I taped a video on a SDHC from my sony camcorder but I need to produce a copy for my teacher. I cannot transfer the copy to my computer nor a mini dvd much less a dvd. What can I do to get a copy to my teacher and my two classmates.
Without knowing what you have access to I can only suggest options.
1.If you have or know someone who has a stand alone DvD Burner, one that connects to a TV, you can connect to it with the A/V(Audio/Video) Cables and record a DvD.
2.Same as above but with a VHS.
3.Purchase a bridge such as the Dazzle from Pinnacle to capture the footage and convert it to a standard AVI to view on computers and burn to a CD.
4.Take the footage to you nearest BestBuy and have the Geek Squad see what they can do.

What is DVI?

It stands for Digital Visual Interface. Most commonly found in Video cards and LCD monitors for computers. There are cables to connect HDMI out to DVI in for viewing DVD players with HDMI out on monitors with on DVI inputs. What can i do if a piece of my digital camera broke? Can i get it fixed?

You might want to take it to your nearest BestBuy and have the Geek Squad take a look at it. They will suggest the best action to take.

Which digital camera is best for capturing text from books?

Most Digital Cameras have a basic “Macro” mode for close up shooting. To get the best quality a D-SLR (Digital- Single Lens Reflex) with a 10mm Macro lens would be preferable. Regardless of the camera make sure the pages are well lighted to get the sharpest photo. If you use the Flash on the camera the photo will be greatly over exposed because of all the white of the paper reflecting the flash back into the camera lens.

Is it possible to download video directly from a HD camcorder to a HD DVR?

From what I have been able to find, HD DVR systems do not have any inputs other than the receiver. Unless there is a Video or HDMI “In” there can be no recording to the DVR. This can change at any time as features that customers request are constantly added and integrated into next generation products.

Best Camcorder

I am looking for a camcorder to capture video of my Daughter singing solos in chorus, and possibly in other competitions. I'd like one that records to dvd or mini dvd but want a very reliable camcorder.
HELP?!!
Look for one with the most Optical Zoom before Digital Zoom as possible. Also some form of Image Stabilization is very important. You may not always have a chance to set up a Tri-pob and you may be shooting Hand Held most of the time. If you will be shooting just your Daughter than a DvD based camcorder will be fine. Record lengths on DvD Camcorders is generally 30min(SD) and 60min(EP). For longer record lengths you may want to look at a Hybrid Camcorder, one that has DvD + Flash Memory storage for longer recordings.

I'am interested in buying a sony digital camera. Do I need to buy charger seperately or it is included in the package?

If the specifications page on the site or the packaging list a Lithium-ion Battery than there is a Charger of some form included. Look for the “What's Included” area of the site. If the cameras uses AA or AAA batteries you have the option of using either standard batteries or rechargeable batteries that you have to supply. If it is a compact camera make sure to get extra batteries what ever type they are. Compact cameras drain batteries quickly. D-SLR will give longer battery life but it is still wise to have extra batteries.

What do you call the feature on some cameras where you can take black and white pictures but have certain colors show up?

As has been mentioned, there are some cameras that have a “Color Select” mode for this type of effect. It is also possible to do this in programs like Photoshop and get better results with out loosing the original photo. If you shot the photo with this effect it will always have the effect. If you shoot it in full color and process the photo to add the effect you will have two photos. One unaltered (original) and one processed.
