If I buy a HDD camcorder, can I edit on the computer, save back to the camcorder hard drive, then play on the tv to record on my vcr/dvd recorder (my pc doesn't have dvd burner, but my dvd player to my tv does record).
This should not be a problem. Most HD Camcorders are using the AVCHD format that is gaining more support in editing programs. However there will be a step down to SD (Standard Definition) when going this route to record to DvD.
If your camcorder has a USB connection try connecting the camera directly to the computer. Without knowing what type of Computer..OS...and Camcorder it would be hard to give any other suggestions.

If you have decided on the Sony you will have a reliable camcorder that will give you years of service. There is also a Panasonic Hard Drive Camcorder in addition to the JVC at BestBuy.com
If you have used this card before it should not need re-initialized. Dust on the contacts along the card can sometimes cause this, also check if there is any discoloration as this could cause poor connection. If there is, use a pencil eraser to rub the contacts to clean them. If it is a CF (Compact Flash) card, check if there is any dust in the pin holes along the side or any hairs covering the holes. If this is a New card try the formating option in the menu area of the camera.
Olympus has a line of compact cameras that are Weather Resistant. Check out the SW line. Several Digital-SLR models are fairly sealed against dust. Canon, Nikon and Sony all have middle to upper end models that are. You can also get a silicon camera body cover for additional protection.
Manual Mode allows you to make ALL decisions whereas Auto Mode ALL decisions are made for you by the Camera. Very few compact cameras give you a “Manual” mode and those that do are VERY limited in functions. For true “Manual Mode” it is best to go with a Digital-SLR. Manual mode will give you full control over Aperture (how much light is let in), Shutter (how long light is let in) and ISO Speed (how sensitive the sensor is to light) plus full Auto and Manual Focus. With a Digital-SLR you cam even take the Shutter speed to Bulb (Shutter stays open as long as you keep the button pushed) which will allow you to take Lightning and Fire Works photos.
There are Universal Power Adapters available at your nearest BestBuy. HP PhotoSmart R725 Power requirements are: Universal AC power adapter: 100 to 240 VAC (50/60 Hz) input; 5 VDC, 2000 mA output
There are several Digital-SLR cameras that will be perfect as a first camera for a photography student. All under $600. Canon Digital Rebel XT 8megapixel and XTi 10megapixel. The Nikon D40 6.1 megapixel. The Olympus e-420 10megapixel. The Sony a200 10.2 megapixel with steady shot. All have various features such as Auto Sensor cleaning, Scene settings, and Special Image processing. Each camera has a different feel to it. It would be best to stop by your nearest BestBuy and try them out. Find the one that feels best in YOUR hand. It is going to spend a lot of time there.
How to purchase on line because I'll use my credit card in the Philippines and the item will be delivered to my sister in California?
I'm from the Philippines and I'm interested to buy Sony Cybershot DSC T300 silver via best buy online and I will use my credit card and its billing address is in the Philippines and I want the item to be delivered to my sister in California. Is it possible for me to purchase one? hope you'll help me with this matter. thanks and regards
Billing address has to be in the US. Orders can be placed on foreign issued bank cards but our systems are only able to accept and fulfill based on US and US territory billing addresses.
The quality of the photo would be essentially the same. It would be easier to move the photos to either a computer or print them with the flash based camcorder.
