What is Manual Override?

I need a camera with "manual override". I have never heard of this. Could someone explain? I also need and adjustable camera. That would be SLR right?
Manual Mode allows you to make ALL decisions whereas Auto Mode ALL decisions are made for you by the Camera. Very few compact cameras give you a “Manual” mode and those that do are VERY limited in functions. For true “Manual Mode” it is best to go with a Digital-SLR. Manual mode will give you full control over Aperture (how much light is let in), Shutter (how long light is let in) and ISO Speed (how sensitive the sensor is to light) plus full Auto and Manual Focus.
With a Digital-SLR you cam even take the Shutter speed to Bulb (Shutter stays open as long as you keep the button pushed) which will allow you to take Lightning and Fire Works photos.

Which is the best SLR cam for the cheapest price?

I am taking a course on photography and I need a Digital SLR camera, but I have a small budget. What is the best deal for my money?
There are several Digital-SLR cameras that will be perfect as a first camera for a photography student. All under $600.
Canon Digital Rebel XT 8megapixel and XTi 10megapixel.
The Nikon D40 6.1 megapixel.
The Olympus e-420 10megapixel.
The Sony a200 10.2 megapixel with steady shot.
All have various features such as Auto Sensor cleaning, Scene settings, and Special Image processing.
Each camera has a different feel to it. It would be best to stop by your nearest BestBuy and try them out. Find the one that feels best in YOUR hand. It is going to spend a lot of time there.

How to purchase on line because I'll use my credit card in the Philippines and the item will be delivered to my sister in California?

I'm from the Philippines and I'm interested to buy Sony Cybershot DSC T300 silver via best buy online and I will use my credit card and its billing address is in the Philippines and I want the item to be delivered to my sister in California. Is it possible for me to purchase one?
hope you'll help me with this matter. thanks and regards
Billing address has to be in the US.
Orders can be placed on foreign issued bank cards but our systems are only able to accept and fulfill based on US and US territory billing addresses.

What is the best type of camera for picture quality? (dvd, mini dv, hard drive, or flash)

The quality of the photo would be essentially the same. It would be easier to move the photos to either a computer or print them with the flash based camcorder.

How long can you record with a DVD CD?

Im looking into to purchasing DVD Camcorder but I wanted to know how long I can record on each disc,I have heard its only about 30 minutes ,so Im doing my research.
You can get longer record times by shooting in LP and EXP modes (times vary) but quality is noticeably reduced.

HD DVD Recorders. I was told that the DVD's from the camcorder are not compatable with most DVD players. Is that true?

If you have HD footage on a DvD there may be playback issues. Some players have trouble with the Camcorder Disks (especially oder DvD players).

If I get an HD DVD Camcorder with a memory stick, How do I get that onto DVD? Do I need a special HDDVD Burner?

To view what you have recorded in HD you would need to either play it back on the Camcorder it was shot on by connecting to an HD TV by HDMI cable (if the camcorder and TV support it) or you need to burn it to a HD-DvD using a HD-DvD burner. Keep in mind that an HD-DvD will only play back on a compatible HD-DvD player. If you just want to archive the footage you have on memory stick you can transfer that to any CD or DvD, than transfer it back to the memory stick for playback when needed.

Is there a such thing?

Is there a such thing as a camcorder that can also take pictures?
Almost all Camcorders take photos. The image size is limited due to video resolution and the quality of the photos are not as good as the Compact Cameras or the Digital-SLR, but the quality has improved greatly over earlier models.

Can I connect an external camera to a camcorder?

I would like to hook up an external camera to a camcorder. Is this possible? Which model should I buy?
Look for a Camcorder that has A/V (Audio Video) Input capability. The external Camera you have should have Video out at least. You will probable need a Barrel Connector also. That is a connector that is a Male RCA to Male RCA so you can hook up the two ends of the cables. Then put the Camcorder in VTR record Mode and you should see the video from the external camera.
