Cleaning the outside casing can be done with a lightly damp rag...DO NOT SUBMERGE A LENS...very bad. A soft cloth or lens cloth and photographic lens cleaner can be used on both ends of the lens. Put cleaner on the cloth...not the glass of the lens...and lightly touch the glass areas with the cloth...never your fingers. Work side to side...not circles. Let air dry....then with a dry area of the cloth wipe light to remove any steaks. There are many articles about lens cleaning on line.
will a recharable camera battery hold it's charge out of the camera?
i'm going on an outdoors trip, where no access to an electrical outlet will be available. i was wondering if it's possible to carry a spare rechargable battery to exchange for the one in my camera when it dies?
Actually a battery will discharge quicker in a camera quicker than one left out of a camera even if the camera is not in use. The cooler you keep the batteries the better...heat will discharge them quicker.
I read on the Nikon website that the electronic component related to the power control in some D5000 DSLR cameras doesn't meet the factory standards & might prevent the camera from turning on.Has this problem been repaired yet?
There is the Humax DRT400, DRT800 and Toshiba RS-TX20 and RS-TX60 are are also DvD recorders but they do not have a VHS player/recorder built in. You can connect a VHS to the inputs to record to the DvD.
Some Nikon Film Lenses have compatibility issues with Digital-SLR bodies. The same lens might work well with some bodies but not with others. If you have a way of getting the exact model numbers of the lenses you can find which Nikon Digital-SLR cameras are most compatible with those lenses. There is also a conversion factor of 1.6 x involved. This effects any of her film lenses used on a non Full Frame digital body. The focal length of the lens is multiplied by 1.6 changing the total "zoom" of the lens. For example... a 18mm-70mm zoom film lens works as a 29mm-112mm lens on a digital body.
LED is Light Emitting Diode. That is that each independent diode gives off light to create the image. LCD is Liquid Crystal Display (not Diode). In this system the light comes from a separate bulb that shines light through the display from behind.
Any Plasma TV being moved a considerable distance needs special care. The unit should not be laid flat...always kept upright. If you are having professional movers move it it should be rapped and if at all possible in a box.
