Does the Sony Cybershot w230 zoom while taking video or have color options for still pictures?
I just bought a sony cybershot w230 and the details about it said it would do black and white, sepia, etc. but i'm looking and it won't let me do it unless i'm in movie mode. Am I doing it wrong??
Also, when im in video mode it won't let me zoom in and out, which is not something that was explained in the features, etc. listed. I feel extremely ripped off unless someone can tell me these things DO work.

The B/W setting can be found under the Color Mode in the menu (page 28 in the manual).
Most compact cameras don't have a zoom function when in movie mode.

Looking for Cannon Camera for use in sporting events
When it comes to the camera body look for one with a fast frame rate. 5-6 FPS (Frames Per Second) is best to follow the fast action.
Also get a good zoom for the lens. 70-300mm would be good start. Image stabilization in the lens or body is also a good Idea since a tripod at a sport event kinda gets in the way.
Canon 50d is a good place to start.

There are many different types of connection plugs for A/V cables.
Depending on what connector you have ( 1/8th inch, multi pin din,..ect) you can check with your nearest BestBuy for a cable or contact the manufacturer through their web site.

Who makes a better digital SLR? Niko or Canon?
This is a debate that has raged since the early 1980's (some say MUCH longer than that) before digital-SLR made appearance.
Nikon and Canon have by far the larger selection of high end lenses. If lens selection is not an issue than many option open up for you.
Seems that the top 3 D-SLR brands have now become :
Canon
Nikon
Sony (also uses Minolta/Konica lenses)

Mostly found in Canon compact cameras.

Which is the best digital for shooting pics in a fast sequence?
Hi, I want to be able to take one picture right after another without having to wait for 'the light to come on'. I also want one with a big 'monitor', and with at least 7 mp.
The speed of a camera to shoot rapidly is called the Frame Rate and is measured in FPS (Frames Per Second). The is a well desired feature. Generally the higher the speed the more the cost.
The Canon Rebel Xs is 3 FPS and the Canon 50D is 6.3 FPS.
The 50D has a big 3" LCD screen and 15.1mp.

The DSC-S70 used a standard Sony Memory Stick, which are a little hard to find new these days. You can get a Memory Stick Duo adapter to use.

Which of your cameras are wide angle?
When it comes to D-SLR cameras it is the lens added that is Wide Angle or a added adapter the gives a Wide Angle effect.
This is an example of a Canon Wide Angle lens.
