Who makes a better digital SLR? Niko or Canon?
This is a debate that has raged since the early 1980's (some say MUCH longer than that) before digital-SLR made appearance.
Nikon and Canon have by far the larger selection of high end lenses. If lens selection is not an issue than many option open up for you.
Seems that the top 3 D-SLR brands have now become :
Canon
Nikon
Sony (also uses Minolta/Konica lenses)

Some cameras call this feature "color select" or more commonly known as “color accent”.
Mostly found in Canon compact cameras.
Image processing software for the computer can also achieve this effect.

or Steady Shot (Sony)
Most manufacturers build IS or VR into the lens.
Some use software on the camera. Sony puts Steady Shot into the body of all their D-SLR cameras and most of their compacts.
There are so many it would be hard to list all the cameras, both D-SLR and compacts, with this feature.

Which is the best digital for shooting pics in a fast sequence?
Hi, I want to be able to take one picture right after another without having to wait for 'the light to come on'. I also want one with a big 'monitor', and with at least 7 mp.
The speed of a camera to shoot rapidly is called the Frame Rate and is measured in FPS (Frames Per Second). The is a well desired feature. Generally the higher the speed the more the cost.
The Canon Rebel Xs is 3 FPS and the Canon 50D is 6.3 FPS.
The 50D has a big 3" LCD screen and 15.1mp.

The DSC-S70 used a standard Sony Memory Stick, which are a little hard to find new these days. You can get a Memory Stick Duo adapter to use.

Which of your cameras are wide angle?
When it comes to D-SLR cameras it is the lens added that is Wide Angle or a added adapter the gives a Wide Angle effect.
This is an example of a Canon Wide Angle lens.

A camera that allows you to adjust settings manually...such as ISO (Sensitivity)..Shutter and Aperture.

Want to buy a camcorder
I am looking for a camcorder that will be able to take day & night shots, as well as indoor & outdoor.

Sony camcorders have some of the better Night Shot modes. The memory based camcorders use less voltage and have a long run time between charges.
There might be an issue depending on how old your computer is. Chip speed for smooth playback might be an issue.

I have a old Olympus OM-10 camera with several lenses, will those lenses fit/work with the new Cannon EOS Digital Rebel T1i camera?
If they are auto focus, they might work with a conversion ring or adapter.
