How do I convert videos from a memory card to a dvd?

I'm looking at a canon or sony camcorder with memory card.

What camcorder can be used with a mac computer?

Most MiniDV camcorders are compatible with Mac computers. Firewire connection is the most common and compatible. Camcorders that use Memory Media and Hard Drive might be less compatible through USB connection and the footage file might need conversion to work with which ever software you might be using on the Mac. These type of camcorders are easier to use by capturing the footage from the A/V (Audio Video) output.

There might be a universal charger available. Check with your nearest BestBuy for one.

camera screen blanks?

imagaes are on the memory card but not on the camera display screen, the screen is blank on that #. yet i can print it. The image does show on the printer screen and can be printed.
Some cameras when a photo is copied to a computer will flag the image as transferred and the camera sees it as deleted. This commonly happens when the software provided with the camera is used to copy the images to a computer.

what does it cost to get the camera screen fixed?

the inside of the camera screen i have is cracked,so the screen looks messed up from the inside.
It would be hard to estimate what a repair would cost without seeing the unit. It would be best to take it to your nearest BestBuy and have the Geek Squad take a look. They will advise you what can be done.

What is the difference between a DVD, Mini DV, Hard Drive and High Definition Camcorder

The Camcorders themselves work pretty much the same.
The main difference is length of record times and ease of footage transfer and editing.
As to record times, DVD is the shortest. Next shortest is miniDV, in SP mode it is 1 hour and LP mode is 90min.
Hard Drive based is dependent on the size of the hard drive. Some hard drive and DVD camcorders also use memory cards that will give you additional time.These are known as hybrid camcorders.
All record formats can be found in both Standard Definition(SD) and High Def.(HD). SD being 720 x 480i (4:3) resolution and HD being up to 1920 x 1080p(16:9 or Widescreen) resolution.
