I can sleep with them on. I am a back sleeper and a bit older than some (63). I often sleep in a recliner chair since I had surgery years ago. It became a habit and has been good for my back - lol.
The only thing I do is this. If you have ever gone to a barber shop you you remember them wrapping tissue around your neck before putting the drop cloth around your neck, that is for two reasons.
1.) It feels comfortable for the customer
2.) It keeps the customers skin oils, dirt and possibly bugs out of the fabric used for the neck material.
I have taken to using several layers of the cheapest single layer tissue and wrapping the ear cups with it, tucking it in behind them as I go. At the end, I curl the leftover all the way around the cup, into the speaker area and then under the inside of the cup.
It works, the headset always feels fresh, the cups stay clean. If a friend comes over and I want to show them something, I don't have to worry about a layer of sweat, ear grime or natural oil, I just peel off the tissue and let them listen. As the G930 has "plastic" ear cups, it is far more important with my G633 that has fabric ear cups. They are a PITA to clean, but more comfy in the long run.
