It does have an "Activity Tracker" where you would start it like you were going on a run or walk, but does not have a GPS built in. I haven't tried it with cycling, but unless you put the device in a pocket, I do not believe it will accurately track your cycling distance.
You might look in to another Garmin product such as the Edge 200 which is a bike "computer" that you mount and uses GPS signals. I do highly recommend Garmin devices as I have two now (this one) and a running GPS watch (FR 620). I hope this helps!
