A:
NO NEVER! Sorry! This is a project that I am currently researching.
All of the directions I have seen online are quite specific that you need a 2.5 inch (Laptop size) drive.
I have seen a DIY Kit bundle with tools, directions and a 2TB capacity drive.
And Best Buy sells an SSHD solution:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/seagate-game-drive-1tb-internal-sata-hard-drive-for-sony-playstation-3-and-playstation-4-oem-bare-drive/4791401.p?id=1219822139268&skuId=4791401
You need to decide if you are planning on installing the drive to increase the capacity cheaply;
or do you want to increase the Speed (&/or Durability) of the drive (SSD or SSHD - more expensive).
My understanding is that the PS4 currently ships with an 500GB Drive, so swapping in a 2TB drive will quadruple the space available.
I have also thought that if you want to move the PS4 frequently, or perhaps you have small children who might pick up the PS4 and drop (or shake it exuberantly) then you might want to spend the money to buy an SSD for durability.
